MISSION STATEMENT
We are Connect & Communicate, a speech-language therapy clinic dedicated to helping children, teens, and young adults understand and connect to their social worlds.
We aspire to help our clients become competent and confident social learners and communicators who envision themselves as valued members of the community.
OUR PERSPECTIVE
At Connect & Communicate we take a cognitive linguistic approach to social learning so that we can provide our students with strategies and tools to better understand, interpret, and engage in the complex and ever-changing social world. The goal is for our students to effectively use social communication to function as a member of a group in a variety of different settings such as home, school, community and/or in the workplace by learning to adapt, engage and problem solve rather than recall a set of scripts and behaviors for every social situation.
